Of course, I love to write songs! Pop is my favorite genre of music. I'm always very passionate about mental health in teenagers.
Who is CAROLINE?
I'm a pop singer who loves performing, dancing, pink and glitter!! I'm also obsessed with listening to all genres of music.
What inspired you to a musical career?
It felt like a natural progression because I was singing constantly and writing songs. I'd study music all day!
Your Instagram covers for “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus cover and “Shallow” by Lady Gaga kind of paved the way for CAROLINE. How was the feeling like getting all that attention from the millions of fans?
It was really fun to be able to connect with people online and build relationships through those videos! I was able to talk to a lot of very kind people.
Who are your favorite musicians and how did they influence your music and style?
I love Taylor Swift because of her lyrics and message and I love Britney Spears and the dance style production in her songs.
As a newcomer in the music scene, what have been your challenges?
The biggest challenge is probably exposure and getting people to take notice of my music.
What have been the greatest challenges/frustrations of your career so far?
Probably knowing what to do, because especially at the beginning it was a very foreign industry and I knew I wanted to sing but I didn't know how to move forward.
How do you define success as a musician?
Being able to do what you love as a professional is success and the best goal for anyone to have!!
Outside making music and being close to your "CAROLINE Army", What else do you enjoy doing most?
I love to dance. I learn all the combos to Lady Gaga and Britney Spears' choreography, it's so fun! I recently started a magazine all about pop music, fashion, and life in general!! The print and digital is available at my website http://www.carolines-music.com
Where would you like to be in 10 years’ time?
Hopefully, putting out tons of music and touring so I can meet people who support me.
You talk and advocate about teen suicide which is at an all time high. What is your message to all teens out there about this issue?
My message is that you're strong, beautiful and awesome and worthy of living! Another tip is to try to put things in perspective because even though everything seems like the end of the world, your life is just beginning!
Your latest single, "I Know Better" is out now and on VMN Music. What is the story behind the single?
The story behind my song is about a toxic relationship. It's about having the strength to leave a bad relationship because you don't have to be there and you "know better."
Any advice for the younger generation aspiring to become musicians?
Keeping going and never give up.
