Today, I wanted to let you in behind the song! So the first draft of the song was actually written in August of 2018!! Then it was edited and recording in November 2019 and I FINALLY get to bring it to you in May 2020. It's been a long road. Writing this song was so cathartic for me, it was a song I NEEDED to write after experiencing an extreme amount of pain in a very toxic relationship. I'm so excited to be able to share this very honest with you! If you're currently in a difficult relationship (it doesn't even have to be romantic, it can be any type of relationship) I hope this song makes you feel like you're not alone.
Lyrically, this is BY FAR my favorite song I've put out. The lyrics are so important me because they are very personally! There a lot of emotions in the lyrics from nostalgia, frustration, pain, irony, self-doubt, humor, and indecisiveness. I wanted all of those dramatic and crazy emotions in their because that's what represents a toxic relationship! It's chaos and hard to know how to cope with.
